Non-Construction

Habitat for Humanity is built on the many hours donated by our volunteers.  We currently need the following services:

• Members for Committees
  Maumee Valley Habitat needs volunteers to fill several openings on the various Committees that help make this Christian ministry function.
• ReStore
  The ReStore is always looking for volunteers to work in the store. Check the ReStore page on this site for more information.
• Construction Site Coaches
  Tuesday - Saturday 8-4pm

  MVHFH is in need of volunteers to work as site coaches and assistant site coaches. They are MVHFH's representatives on all phases of the build, interacting with the subcontractors, volunteers, and leaders from the sponsoring organization. During the busiest phases of the build (framing, roofing, siding) they work along side the volunteers, making sure that people work safely and in general have a good Habitat experience. Previous building experience is important as well as a genuine ability to work well with others. Call Dave Belknap, Construction Supervisor, at 419-382-1964 to learn more.

• Office Assistants
  Monday-Friday 2pm - 5 pm

  Office volunteers are an important part of our daily work. Without them we would not be able to get nearly as much done!  Currently, we need several fill-in volunteers and regularly scheduled volunteers.

  Job duties include: (1) answering the telephone; (2) assembling and mailing out the quarterly newsletter; (3) general typing, filing, and copying; (4) input of information into our data base; (5) office cleaning (6) other related duties as assigned.
  Note: If you would be interested in acting as a possible substitute from time to time, please let us know. Our volunteers in the office occasionally have time conflicts - at which time substitute office volunteers are very much appreciated.

• ReStore Pick up/Delivery Truck
  Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 1pm (Depending on the route)  

  ReStore Truck Volunteers use the Habitat ReStore truck to pick up items donated to the ReStore and deliver items purchased from the ReStore.
