About Our Programs

Homeownership Program

Habitat for Humanity provides a pathway for families in need of decent and affordable housing to own their own homes. Our Homeownership Program ensures that children can be provided safety, stability and a legacy.

A hand-up, not a hand-out.

Applicants must be lower-income families or individuals who are willing to participate in our education program and work on the rehab or building of their future home. Homes are purchased with a 0% interest loan and homeowners pay a monthly mortgage payment.

For more information, including how to apply, visit our Homeownership page.

Home Repair Ministry

Here in Lucas County, through our Home Repair Ministry we partner with lower-income existing homeowners to provide health and safety repairs that they, on their own, could not afford or accomplish.

Approved applicants pay only for materials and a small administrative fee. 0% interest 1-2 year payment plans are available. All labor is donated.

Helping to build stronger communities for all families is at the core of our mission. Keeping homes well-maintained helps to provide neighborhood stabilization and revitalization, which in return, strengthens home prices and improves perceptions of the neighborhood.
