About Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity

Our Vision
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Our Mission
Seeking to put God's love in action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together
to build homes, communities, and hope.

In 1988, a group of community and congregational volunteers formed Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. Homes were rehabbed and eventually new homes were built. ReStore was added in 2004 and Home Repair Ministry in 2008.

200 homes and 300 plus repairs later, our focus remains on  ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to own and live in safe and affordable housing. Through our tithe, our impact extends beyond Lucas County into developing countries like Ethiopia, Haiti and Guatemala.

Everyone is invited to partner with us as a  volunteer, sponsor, donor or advocate. Only with your hands, and time, and donations can we work towards fulfilling our vision of a world in which everyone has a decent place to live.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement:
Creating spaces of belonging.
Seeking to honor and embrace the various beliefs, unique identities, and lived experiences of our team and our community, we commit to creating spaces of belonging for everyone, without barriers. We recognize that being a diverse organization makes us all richer. Further, we respect, honor, and accept all into the work of putting God’s love into action. Therefore, we will strive to ensure that all enjoy equal access and opportunity to meaningfully participate in building homes, community, and hope.
