Home Preservation Programs

If you own your home and need assistance completing or affording a roof replacement or eliminating code violations, we may have a program designed to assist you! These programs are meant for repair and rehabilitation only and are not designed to assist with home remodeling. Note: Waitlists for both programs are currently closed. 

 

Roof Replacement Program (Lucas County residents)

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Owner-Occupied Roof Replacement Program is designed to assist low-moderate income Lucas County homeowners with roof replacements. Our work and funding are focused in four neighborhoods within the City of Toledo (East Toledo, Englewood, Junction, Old South End). Please contact us to see if you are eligible.

This program is funded through grant money provided to the City of Toledo by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

As such, funding is limited. We are not accepting applications and the waitlist is currently closed.

 

 

Home Rescue Program (City of Toledo residents only)

Home Rescue is the City of Toledo’s Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program that Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity administers on their behalf. Home Rescue is designed to assist low-moderate income homeowners residing within the City of Toledo with the elimination of housing code violations such as electrical, venting, hazardous windows, faulty furnaces or cooling units, possible lead-based paint hazard issues, and much more. Qualified homeowners are provided with a Forgivable Deferred Payment Loan which includes certain restrictions. Our work and funding are focused in four neighborhoods within the City of Toledo (East Toledo, Englewood, Junction, Old South End). Please contact us to see if you are eligible.
